IUI experiences

Hi all,

Been ttc for around 3.5 years and while started off fairly promisingly, I've had 3 miscarriages in that time (just 'bad luck' according to miscarriage consultant), and have now not been pregnant for over a year. Everything fine with my husband, but they think I may have issues with my ovulation (although I think they did the tests at the wrong times but that's another story)/borderline progesterone.

They've offered Clomid for 6 months, then IUI with gonadatrophins if that doesn't work. I am seriously thinking of skipping the Clomid and going straight to IUI as it feels like that is much more likely to succeed and waste less time - I'm 37 and my husband is 40 - especially as even if it works, could end in miscarriage again.

Has anyone got any thoughts or experience? Nurse said it was completely up to us. I feel like they've told us very little in terms of details when I look at some of the posts here.

Thanks v much
