So on Thursday I had my bloods done to see if I ovulate, then on Sunday I got what I think is a positive test, I also got a positive Monday. I will add photo in comments. I rang today for my blood results today and the doctor said I don’t ovulate my progesterone level under is under 1.

I’m confused because I think I may have ovulated just later than I should have so that could be why they were low? Or should they have been higher the lead up to ovulation?

Progesterone test has to be done 7 days after ov so for me it seems that it has been done in the wrong time so it is low.talk to your Dr and repeat it.

Progesterone goes up after ovulation, so if you ovulated after your test then the results would, indeed, be incorrect. See whether you can get your doctor to repeat the test round about next Monday.

Hi Ladies!

I'm just looking for a bit of advice. Been TTC #1 for 9 months now which I now isn't long at all. I've been tracking my cycles using bbt ovusense vaginal temping and using OPKs which shows I do ovulate.

My cycles vary in length but a few have been 25 days with ovulation on day 20. In my longest cycle I ovulate on cd43 of 51.
My luteal phase is very short. Longest has been 8 days and my shortest has been 4. I guess this means there is no chance of the egg implanting at all.

My doctors did bloods tests on cd15 a few months ago and refuse to do anything else as I've only been TTC for 9 months. I did have a ultrasound which showed everything was ok.

Has anyone experienced a very short luteal phase and gone on to find their luteal phase increase naturally overtime without medication? I've tried b6 for 6 months and nothing.

I'm worried that if I got bloods redone that 21day bloods won't help me as often I don't even get to 7dpo. Af shows generally at 5dpo. I'm debating going private as some gps don't believe in a luteal phase defect.

Thanks xx

Gossipgirl28 have you looked into natural progesterone cream? After you ovulated if you start putting it on fatty areas and check for pregnancy 2 days before your expected period, if the test is negative stop to allow AF it will lengthen your luteal phase x
