Has anyone had HGH?

Hiya,

We are three and a half years into ttc baby 2 and we were told yesterday that we are reaching the end of the journey for us as far as NHS help goes. Mainly due to a) having had a child b) my old age and c) the fact they just can't seem to find out why we haven't conceived. We have both had tests done and everything is within normal ish. My ovarian reserve is t great and OH has only 3% morphology.

What I have done though is taken away all my notes and looked into possible alternatives after the final Clomid round is complete. That is of course before we start looking at IVF routes. One of the things I have been looking at is the possible causes and solutions to me having diminished ovarian reserve.

The consultant said that it's quite bad DOR for my age and that it's probably one of the reasons we are struggling alongside the endometriosis that was removed in April. Online it says that a lot of people under 40 can be helped with HGH and it really helps ovarian reserve. This struck me as interesting because the only reason I reached puberty was 4years of HGH from 14-18yrs old (started my periods at 18 towards the end) and conceived my son whilst on HRT due to not having a period in over two years and blood tests suggesting early menopause at 30yrs old. Since then my periods have been short and sometimes irregular and my hormone tests are all quite low.

Is it something that can be prescribed HGH and has anyone had any success? I'm posting in conception too just to cover both bases.

TIA

Human Growth Hormone

In all my trawling I'd fertility boards I've not actually come across anyone talking about growth hormone - sorry I know rhats not very helpful but I'd be interested to see what sort of response you get?

How old are you now? I was told I had DOR (age 32) and due to MFI too to go straight to ICSI and we ended up getting far more eggs than expected.

My advice would be to try ivf - if you have DOR why waste your time? IVF effectively gives you lots of attempts at once as the more you ovulate the more chance you have of a "good quality egg". You also don't really know how you'll respond to the drugs until you try - as I said I surprised them all!

Sorry I do realise I didn't help on the HGH front!

@hoping2018 we can't quite afford IVF at the current time and my OH thinks that's an extreme measure right now because Clomid will help and we won't need to spend the £1000s that IVF will cost on top of the tests we have already paid for like my endometriosis surgery.

The problem is I want to have more children even if we adopt and he thinks we won't be able to adopt because we have a child already.

I know I'm a spoilt brat and should be grateful we have one child because lots don't get that chance. I adore my son and appreciate every single breath he takes; I just look at him playing alone and it makes me feel sad.
