Hi Ladies,

We've just been referred to CARE Sheffield, they received our referral on 4th July just waiting for our forms to go online so that we can make an appointment with the consultant.

Just wondered if anybody has had experience with CARE Sheffield and can tell me what the timescales are like? It will be two weeks tomorrow since our referral landed with them and it seems the nurse is still looking at my medical history, been told it's a 3 week wait for a consultant appointment after I receive the forms and send them back?

I know I must appear ridiculously impatient right now but we've been messed around by St Mary's Clinic in Manchester for almost 8 months and are now starting the process over again with a new clinic I just really want to make up for lost time Smile xx

Hello, I've also just been referred there too. Just about to post the forms back. They seem to have good stats and reviews so fingers for us both there!

We had IVF at CARE Sheffield, and they were fantastic. I'm having another cycle soon and will be going back to them. Smile

Hi Ladies,

How are you both getting on?

Wolfray - great to hear you've had such a positive experience with CARE Sheffield! I don't suppose you can remember how long it takes to receive your protocol after your consultation? wishing you the best of luck with your next round 😊

Beacat - we also sent our forms back today and would imagine we'll get a call next week with an appointment date! have you had your appointment date yet? We may be cycling together!! ☺️

Xx

I seem to think that once we were 'in the system', so to speak, it went really quickly. I think the only niggle we had was one of the tests we needed (related to our male factor diagnosis) seemed to take a while because it was something that was needed with our local doctors, but that wasn't a fault on CAREs part, but our own GP. CARE moved really quick! Good luck to you, they're a great time and look after their patients well. I just mentioned this post to my husband and he said 'don't forget to tell them that the waiting facilities are much better than some of the other hospitals and clinics - they scored highly on rate my wait! Grin'.

I had one cycle with them, it was 11 years back though so I can't help with timescales now. Two dc sitting on sofa with me though so fingers crossed 🤞 for you.
