Am I mad?...wiccan

Ok!! So I came to this part of the forum in January after failed attempts, anyway since then I kind of gave up and tried to forget about it😔

Anyway I'm a nurse and come across a lot of weird and wonderful people! One day a patient came onto the ward who was a wiccan I was really interested in her religion and life style and we got to talking she had crystals at her bedside for healing and I mentioned that I was thinking about getting fertility crystals she then went on to tell me the different energies and spirits to ask and pray to etc and told me she would keep me In her thoughts....and GUESS WHAT!! It's early days but I'm growing a human!! And I can't stop thinking about this wonderful white witch and the possibility that she might have aided me on the way! What are people's thoughts? Am I mad?

At the end of the day, no one knows. IMO (I'm a scientist) it's doubtful, but it just comes down to probability.

Whimhoff did things no one in the scientific community thought was possible. Just look at the success rates of accupuncture too!

Congratulations! I don't see why that's mad at all. DH believes that prayer helped us to have our son after multiple miscarriages - lots of people would say he's wrong, but I don't think (Richard Dawkins aside) they'd say he's mad, so there's no reason not to afford Wicca the same respect.

I'm in 2 minds - I was convinced I would have a boy and a girl following some really vivid dreams...9 years of ttc later, no joy yet...

I still believe it will happen, though...

but then I see people attribute interpretations to all kinds of life events which could be read completely differently and the 'logical' side of me thinks it's all down to what we want to believe..

but i like stories like yours - it's comforting somehow xx

OP i honestly believe it ppl try and follow logic too much in this life there are some things in life too magical for us to explain..i know the sceptics will say ur crazy blah blah. What causes deja vu? What causes the light to go out in your eyes when you die? I believe we do have souls and there is something bigger we dnt yet understan. I dnt believe in god per say or a heaven like in story books but how can we be sure ppl thought the earth was flat at one point..
