Bizarre hormone tests?

Hi šŸ‘‹

I’m a little confused..! I have been TTC for 3 years with not even a mere hint of a positive test. I have Endometriosis and have just recently had my 3rd laparoscopy.

When I was a teen, I had some bloods done to check my hormones as I had bad acne and body hair growth in places that perhaps shouldn’t be. Those bloods came back normal and never thought any more of it.

I had some rounds of Clomid and Femara last year (12 cycles all together, ovulated well but unsuccessful in terms of BFP’s). I wasn’t diagnosed with PCOS or anything like that, but my natural ovulation was on the weak side. My consultant just thought Clomid or Femara would be a success, clearly he was wrong!

Curiousity got the better of me, so 13 years after my teenage blood tests, I decided to have more hormone tests done a few weeks ago, seeing as I’m still not pregnant.. all of the tests came back normal apparently! progesterone wasn’t done as I know it’s not great without meds, but has anyone else got weak ovulation with otherwise normal hormones?! Apart from having endo on my ovaries (found and removed on the recent lap), my ovaries look physically good. ultrasounds have suggested ovaries are fine too, ie. no cysts, physical abnormality etc.

Sorry for the long post. Just trying to get to the bottom of what is wrong with me before IVF is pursued. I am 27 by the way.

Cheers!

Hi ,

I have been diagnosed with endo and also have polycystic ovaries. All my hormone tests came back ok apart from progesterone a bit low-like you I have weak ovulation but I do still ovulate -I also only have a 8-10 day luteal phase because of this I think. My AMH was elevated because of the PCO but my FSH, thyroid etc was all normal. Good luck with IVF
