Infertility - Bloods Normal?

I've always had irregular periods, before going on the pill aged 26 I had either really heavy clotty ones or really light ones. No pain though. At aged 26 I was living abroad and went to a gyno who did an internal ultrasound and said my womb lining was extremely thick (which I wasn't surprised about as I wasn't havent regular periods) and that I had a tumour/cyst which she later took out and tested- came back benign. She said hormone problem and put me on the pill to give me regular periods.

Now at 33 I've come off the pill at the beginning of this year and I think I ovulated the first month and had a 3 day period but since then nothing and no sign of my period. Went back to the doctors and have had my blood tested- it's come back all normal inc progesterone. I was really surprised as I am convinced I have mild poly cystic ovaries (a few years ago they said I had a few on one of my ovaries). I'm waiting for my referral to the fertility clinic and another scan but am wondering how my bloods can be normal if I am not ovulating?

Anyone had a similar experience- just wondering what to expect in the next stages .

Polycystic ovaries is not the same as pcos (the hormonal disorder). When I was first diagnosed with pcos I had no cysts on my ovaries but my bloodwork matched a typical pcos profile and I had a lot of facial hair. The trademark necklace cysts came a year later but they come and go. My bloodwork stays the same.
Be grateful you don’t have pcos. Just had my first icsi cycle and only 1 embryo was useable (failed) and I had nothing to freeze despite collecting over 10 eggs.
