Hi all,
So I have a laparoscopy to remove endo on my right ovary and anything else that might be lurking inside coming up soon. Feeling a bit nervous as never had a big op before but hoping for some success stories from some of you post op for ttc? Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks!

Hi mouse

I haven't had this procedure but wanted to wish you luck. May I ask what your symptoms have been so far?

Great news thanks Maskedsocialworker-I’m trying to view it as a positive thing that will get us where we need to be. Did it take you long to recover from it?

Hi Fedout-symptom wise-we have been trying to conceive about a year with no luck. Occasionally i can spot from sex and my periods are fairly painful day 1-2 but no cycle pain other than that. Also gynaecologists have spotted an endometrioma on my ovary.

Hey, after two years ttc #2 I had a lap and dye that removed endo and I conceived very next cycle. Obviously every case is different but it’s worth getting done in my opinion - the surgery was quick and I was in and out same day, recovery took me about a week. I’m 31 weeks pregnant now! X

Wow congrats Colabottles-hope the pregnancy is going well. Hearing all these success stories is helping me get my head around it. I just want to know the date is it now. Were you nervous before the surgery? Did they end up removing much? I know I def have it on one ovary but I’m intrigued to see if there is anymore. It would be an added bonus if it helps period cramps!

Has anyone else had it and then followed it a few months after with ovulation induction drugs like clomid or IUI-as my ovaries are polycystic I think after a few months of ttc after the op we will move onto those options. Hopefully something will work! It's good to have a plan now and options rather than endlessly trying on our own without help!
