I had an ectopic pregnancy and had one tube removed , 6 years ago I had a sterilization on nhs , I'm now in a new relationship and he has no children . I spoke to Dr about my options on conceiving and they think ivf is my best option over a reversal of sterilization. I'm now 41 years old .
Anyone with advice welcome please 😊

And there I was naively thinking the spammers had gone. What revelationary news that there are “various treatments available for your condition” and that “many babies have been born through the assisted conception treatment.” I mean, fuck me where would we be without these valuable insights?!

OP for what it is worth, I think you’ve been advised to hav ivf over sterilisation reversal as unfortunately sterilisation reversal is often unsuccessful, even if it is successful were you to become pregnant there is an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy after sterilisation reversal and also at 41 time is unfortunately not on your side and IVF would allow you to start trying to become pregnant sooner.

If you start thinking about it positively. I assure you this treatment will work for you.

What a crock of shite. No, it won’t and no one not even fertility specialists can assure anyone that treatment will work.

Thank you for your comments , although the sound of meditation sounds appealing I'm pretty certain my fertility will not miraculously return !
I'm having a battle in my head , I already have 3 beautiful children from previous relationship .. maybe having ivf in my 40s isn't ideal ? I just don't know ! EarlGreyT your right my having previous ectopic puts me at higher risk , and my only 1 good tube has been clamped ! So I'm pretty sure ivf would be the better option if I was to go ahead .
Thank you guys x
