Has anyone done egg collection being awake with local anesthetic at a clinic in London?

I was so so glad to be knocked out. Incredibly sore yesterday (collection day) and today. Paracetamol with cocodamol hardly touches it. Take all the drugs.

Do you mean paracetamol with codeine? You should not take cocodamol with paracetamol. You'll overdose!

@QuestionableMouse yes sorry with codeine!! The over the counter stuff... I blame the effects of yesterday's sedation...

I had mine done via a local at Guys and St Thomas' - 10 yrs ago now! From memory it was uncomfortable but not horrific and I travelled home by tube/train so ok! Best of luck with it all and you too physicskate!

I was under conscious sedation. Head felt spinny, woke up when the nurse called my name, and it had all been done. Pain afterwards but just like a period.
