Acupuncture during treatment

I was wondering if anyone had tried acupuncture during treatment? I've heard of it helping your chances of fertility but I don't know much about it.

Hi - I haven’t got to treatment yet but I have found accupucture very relaxing and calming during the whole ttc process. We are looking to start IVF in the not too distant future and I will definitely be doing it alongside. It has definitely helped regulate my cycles but also made me feel more in control and helped well being. Good luck with your IVF

Hi lav I have just started acupuncture following a couple of failed IVF rounds - who knows if it is actually helping my fertility, but it is already helping me feel less anxious, and just giving me something nice to do for myself.

I would recommend giving it a go, but it's probably worth trying to find a specialist fertility acupuncturist if you can. Good luck.

I had acupuncture for 6 weeks before this FET cycle, during the treatment and 2WW. I got a BFP. On previous cycles I didn't have acupuncture and didn't get a BFP. Could be a coincidence, could be the acupuncture. I don't really mind either way! I find the acupuncture quite relaxing though. It's nice to have that time just for yourself. And there are some studies that show a link between having acupuncture on the day of and day after ET and higher success rates.

Thanks struggleisreal I have found an acupuncturist who advertises acupuncture for fertility so hopefully she knows what she is doing! Good luck on your journey, it really is a struggle!

I had acupuncture when I had my first FET which resulted in my son. Then had acu for IVF and FET #2 and got BFNs.

Had acu just before and after FET #3 transfer and got BFN.
