Hi I'm looking into clinics abroad... mostly cos I feel frustrated at how little testing is done at my current clinic and how expensive any uk clinics are that do extensive testing.
I have now had 3 fresh and 3 frozen rounds of ivf with my own eggs - all failed, but with chemical preg first time, MMC on my 3rd fresh cycle and now another MC likely (I have started bleeding this evening after a bad scan last week at 8 weeks where embryo didn't lol to have grown) it will be confirmed at scan tomorrow..
So anyway, I have been trying to figure out how to accept that at 41 I probably need to give up on my eggs, but I feel I cant do that until I've done something to check there's nothing else causing these miscarriages. I had a PUL before starting the ivf too. I should add I have a naturally conceived almost 5 year old and we are unexplained as my AMH is reasonable for my age and all tests come back fine.
So I am looking at serum in Athens - I emailed them today and they got straight back to me with a really detailed reply, so was encouraging. Has anyone experience of serum? Or anywhere else that will test what they can to find out any other issues I might have that could be causing this other than age? If it is just dud eggs then I think I can move on, but the not knowing is so hard. Thanks for reading x

I've just cycled with Serum. They are so lovely but I haven't had success with them. I produced 10 eggs and 5 blasts. 3 transferred back in March ended in mc. 2 transferred last month and BFN.

I'm now looking at Reprofit as Serum don't do PGD. I'm 39 (and a half!) and feel like time is running out with my own eggs so I need the PGD to tell me what's going on.

Thanks @twinkledag - that's good to know they were nice, but sorry your treatment wasn't successful. Did you have any tests there and did you find them useful at all?
I hadn't realised they don't do PGD - having had recurrent miscarriage I'd ideally want to do that if we can to avoid the time wasted on non viable embryos - can I as why you decided on reprofit? Thanks & good luck with your cycle x

DH did the 90 day sperm improvement protocol.

I had to send my period blood to them for various testing which all came back clear.

They tested for DH's sperm for DNA fragmentation.

I've chosen Reprofit as they are the other clinic I looked into when I first looked at going abroad and also because I want the PGD testing and I know they do it.

I used retrofit 2 years ago (had very low AMH and poor quality sperm). They were great and tests were cheap.

However from being on the infertility threads at the time - isn't there e specialist miscarriage clinic in the U.K.? Is it in Coventry? Is that worth looking at? I'm so sorry for your losses.

I don't have experience of testing for miscarriage but my friend had pgd at reprofit and was also successful. They're a respected clinic with very good results and my experience was excellent.

I've just had a successful (so far) cycle with Reprofit with my own eggs and AMH issues. I didn't have any testing, but they were fab in all other ways and super affordable. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the clinic or the process with them.

We went to the States because their testing of embryos and their labs are so much better than anywhere we tried in the U.K. (London).

After numerous losses we felt sure there was an issue but the doctors in the U.K. were dismissive even though two mc’d babies showed the same genetic condition.

Long story short, we had treatment in America, the embryos were tested, treatment was successful.

Hi all, thanks - the heartbeat has stopped and the baby has shrunk so I had it confirmed and will be miscarrying imminently, so def keen to sort out what we will do next. Those of you that have done reprofit - did you go direct? How did it work with how often you go there? PGS - what's the process? Would be great to know more. Thanks x

Oh Christ @Hobbes39 I'm so sorry.

I went direct to Reprofit, I emailed them and then had a questionnaire based first consultation. They do Skype consults for those with more questions/complications. I did not have PGS, so I can't comment on that. What I can tell you is that the clinic were efficient, prompt to respond, detailed in their approach and super no nonsense. I was very keen on them and their approach worked well for me.

I hope @lucieloos doesn't mind me tagging her in this thread as she recommended Reprofit to me too.

Yes I went direct, just emailed them and they assign you a coordinator that you liaise with.

I got my meds from their pharmacy shipped over. My bloods and scans at a local baby bond clinic (who were willing to email the results over to reprofit)

I didn't have PGS as I didn't produce enough eggs (I had both put back in after fertilisation) but I believe it's a simple process. I think they test and then freeze any suitable embryos.
