Hi Sibbo

I saw your post a few days ago and have been dithering over whether to post. I think I felt it might jinx things or make me obsess even more (actually not possible!)

Anyway, I’ve bitten the bullet! I had my transfer on Monday. So I think that makes me 3dp5dt. First couple of days were ok, but I’m starting to feel more negative now. I was hoping I might feel some implantation symptoms but haven’t felt a thing. What about you? How are you bearing up? Do you have any frozen embryos as back ups?

Agree this is the most excruciating wait EVER.

bangsaklove · 07/06/2018 16:40

yes me! And feel like I am losing the plot, had my transfer Sunday so am 4dp5dt already googling how early can you test and when is trigger shot out of system which I swore I would not do!
Felt fine last 3 days then today just got the mad googling, also had stomach cramps and nausea but know this is the cyclogest....
how are you both doing today?

AndCallMeNancy · 07/06/2018 22:12

Hi Bangsak

Good to hear from someone else in the same boat (although sorry you’re in it, of course Flowers) Is this your first transfer? It is mine.

I am physically fine but have just felt a bit fatalistic today. Finding it hard to stay positive. We only got one blast so this is our one and only chance. I have horribly low AMH (1.5) so did three rounds of low dose IVF egg collections with everything we got (5 embryos) getting frozen at day 3. We then thawed all so they could be cultured to day 5 so that we would be putting the best back in first. However only one made it from those five day 3s. Really disappointing as we won’t do any further IVF - so everything rests on this embryo. It’s just so scary. However we can’t do any more treatment, I’ve found it so tough psychologically and we have totally spent up financially.

We are lucky, I have a 4 year old DD conceived naturally with no problems. However TTC number two for the last 2.5 years with a chemical and a miscarriage along the way.

Am so, so desperate for this to work.

When do you think you will test? I swing between being desperate to know, to being too scared to in case it’s bad news. I have a blood test booked at my clinic for next Thurs (14th June).

Hi @AndCallMeNancy I am in a similiar position it is our first go and a lot riding on it, as although we were lucky enough to have some frozen we only have one round on the NHS so any FET will need to be self funded, we just dont have a high income so not sure when we can do that, I am close to 40 so age is an issue.
I think I would feel so much better if didnt have these cramps, I read the cyclogest leaflet this morning...not sure if you are on that...and it said stomach discomfort is usual but still it plays with your mind.

Ive just read another thread on here called do I have to wait 14 days :0) and the general consensus is 9pd 5dt is pretty accurate.

I want to test early as this wait is driving me nuts but I worry I will jiinx it if I do it early, crazy I know!
Im NHS so no blood tests just advised to test on 15th June!! x

AndCallMeNancy · 08/06/2018 13:22

Yes on cyclogest here too. And sadly I’m close to 40 as well! I’ll be 39 the week after test day. My last two birthdays have been clouded by secondary infertility. Not sure what I’ll do if this one is the same.

Is the cramping definitely stomach, not uterus? I’m worried that everything is so silent down there. But we would be worried whatever.

Great that you have some frozen embryos. You must’ve responded pretty well to treatment. Would just be lovely not to have to use them though! Fingers crossed for you.

bangsaklove · 10/06/2018 20:03

@AndCallMeNancy sorry for the late response,I started to spot yday which has just got worse. Think I'm out this round :-( I hope you are feeling ok! I see you have a blood test booked, are you private? We are nhs and so just get sent home with a clear blue and asked to test 12 days post 5dt.

AndCallMeNancy · 11/06/2018 11:09

Oh Bangsak that is not what you need. I want to say it could be implantation-linked but if it’s getting worse maybe not. How devastating for you. I am so sorry. Have you tested? What do you do now?

Yes I am private, blood test is 10 days post transfer. I’ve decided not to test as if it’s a negative I will feel so shit driving the hour or so to the clinic on Thurs morning. I have still had totally zero symptoms and my uterus hasn’t so much as twinged so I feel resigned that is not worked. So I don’t want to test anyway TBH. What a living nightmare this IVF is.

I will keep everything crossed that the spotting stops and you have some positive news.
