Strangers please stop asking!

I am getting so fed up! I work in customer service in a situation where I spend up to an hour in an interview. Time and time again the conversation follows this pattern.
There is a discussion about family I'll mention that I like living near my mum, they ask if I have children and I say no, I'll change the subject or tell them we have cats.
And 9/10 times I am told you really should have kids now, don't wait too long, but don't you want children? Oh your poor Mum, I'm sure she'd rather have grandkids than cats.

Please STOP IT! I don't want to discuss if I am or am not currently able to have children, nor do I want to tell you I have lost 4 stone and still have another 5 to go before any doctors will be interested in helping us!!!!

@Alwayscommuting i know ppl can b soo daft and nosey u feel like screaming yh i know time is gettin i know my own age. Struggling to conceive is like this weird world of secrecy im not ashamed ive been ttc for 2.5yrs with no baby but i cba with the awkward look of oh poor u..spare me the pity and mind ur own business! Maybe we should start sayin to ppl then theyd think twice about upsetting someone in the future lol now in ranting

The diet thing must b horrible ive done nothing but comfort eat the past 6mnths

Actually what I really want to do is slap my MIL every time she suggests maybe I should work less and think about children... for my DH's sake...

Rant over too...

My close friends TTC for years and had to put up with these upsetting comments. The only way to stop them (the comments) was to tell people that they were struggling with infertility and that they found questions and comments from others upsetting.
