I’m curious to hear hear people’s opinion and thoughts on “Embryo Glue”. Would you use it during a cycle?

We had it as standard for our NHS IVF (Gateshead). The HFEA has some info on it that might be useful for you: www.hfea.gov.uk/treatments/explore-all-treatments/treatment-add-ons/

We had a failed fresh, followed by successful fet in which we used embryo glue. Will never know if it played a role but it helped me know I'd done everything I could. I'm actually more convinced about the endometrial scratch, which I also had on my successful cycle. Good luck xxx

Two failed cycles without, one successful (now 16 w) with.

I used it once and got a BFP and once and got a BFN

Thank you for all your comments. I've had one previous cycle when I was 21 (5 years ago) but we are about to start a second cycle very soon. I suppose, like everyone else would like to improve our chances, and was curious to hear people's experiences as I don't know anyone personally that has used this during their cycle. I have heard also about the endometrial scratch and am also tempted to have this but wasn't too sure if all clinics offer it. Thank you ladies for sharing your positivity Smile

I had the scratch and embryo glue on my successful ICSI cycle.

I’m not sure whether they helped as I changed a lot of variables between my first (unsuccessful) cycle and my second successful cycle.

I would have them again if doing another cycle.

There's no evidence to show an uplift in pregnancy rates from it but my attitudes always if you can afford it there's no harm. It's not a sticky substance it's just a culture medium, your body produces small amounts of it naturally it just gives it in higher levels
Cycle 1 no glue BFN
Cycle 2 no glue BFN
Cycle 3 glue BFN
Cycle 4 glue BFP but MMC
Cycle 5 no glue BFP DS

First round for me, had the scratch this week and am going to have the glue when collection is done in 4 weeks. Fingers crossed it works x

Used in 2nd cycle. Had 3 implanted. None stuck

In the scheme of things if paying for ivf then it’s not a huge cost extra

But wasn’t about years ago and obv ivf worked then

I used it on our two private rounds because I wanted to do everything I could (also used the embryoscope) Both rounds failed. We then qualified for NHS and they don't offer the glue on the NHS in our area.... and we got a BFP.
