Hi

I've been told I'm not ovulating following recent blood tests. My husbands SA came back normal.

My progesterone level came back at 26nmol/L (what should have been 7dpo going by OPKs), and oestradiol

I'd just wait for the appt as they'll tell you there. Everyone will go through a different process so it's best to just wait and see!

I had my scans etc... done before my GP referred me to the consultant at a clinic so he didn't do any further testing as I'd already had them done. I guess it depends where you are in your 'journey' and who your consultant is

They will ask lots of questions though so try and have as much info handy as possible and make sure it's as accurate as you can get it.

I had my first fertility appt a few months ago and it was mostly info-gathering. The doc questioned me dp about our health and lifestyle, lots of q's about cycle length etc, and she also did an internal sonogram thingy. She explained gp test results in more detail too. Good luck!

Hi lass, totally depend where you are but I'll tell you my journey as I'm Glasgow based.

First appointment was info gathering on us both, full health check (Not pelvic) and basics of what the pathway is for infertility treatment in your area. We have to have documented trying for min one-year so any birth control has to be obviously discontinued or removed and documented.

Appointments organised for bloodwork and sperm checks, smear test and internal ultrasound.

Next appointment is 6months down line where stage one is complete test results and any issues discussed and follow up procedures organised.

Right through phase one if either of you or partner are overweight and out with guidelines for infertility treatment in your area you will be declined Clomid or similar until you maintain target weight within guidelines for a minimum one-year.

At 1 year mark I had under xray tube flush out and that apparently worked for me as after being ill in early 2014 I fell pregnant naturally with no Clomid and I'm currently pregnant again.

I was diagnosed with PCOS which has now nearly gone due to weightloss etc.

This is just my areas pathway and it is super strict and we had been trying for over 10yrs and still weren't entitled to Clomid or IVF.

Thank you so much all of you for your helpful responses.

I will go to the appointment not expecting anything per se then. Just pleased to be on the right track for something happening 🙂
