Hello Ladies
I now find myself 8 months on from last miscarriage and no more pregnancies. Only to be told by a number of consultants to keep trying!! Anyone else in this position with any advice or anyone who’s been in this position with a happy ever after?? Feeling very deflated xx

Hi! It's hard I know. After 12 months TTC or 3 MC the docs should refer you for tests to see if there are any underlying problems.
It's hard not to be deflated but all you can do is carry on and keep trying. My best tip is make sure you take time for your relationship so it doesn't all become about TTC. It can take its toll on relationships. Have date nights and keep having fun together x

I had 2 consecutive miscarriages and was not prepared to have any more so I went privately and saw a miscarriage specialist who ran lots of expensive tests. Turns out I had high levels of Natural Killer Cells. If you are able to afford it I would just book in and see a private specialist so you are not at the mercy of the NHS.
I also had acupuncture and my acupuncturist was adamant I shouldn't start trying for quite a few cycles until my body was ready. Have you tried acupuncture?
I have to admit I didn't have any issues getting pregnant and I did go on (with treatment for NKCs and acupuncture) to have 2 children (and an early miscarriage between them). It all just depends on the reason for the miscarriages so far. There are basically a few different categories of reasons - blood clottting issues (quite commonly sorted out with medication), immune issues (like NKCs, but lots others too) and issues with genetic mutations (sometimes serious and recurrent or sometimes referred to as 'bad luck' where there was just an error in the gene replication very early in development and not necessarily likely to repeat).

Good luck with it all. 8 months TTC after a miscarriage does not seem too long in the grand scheme of things as it may have been a few months after your miscarriage before your body got back to normal anyway. Definitely don't panic. In retrospect I can see I did when I was at your stage.

Thanks for the reply’s ladies. I’ve had all the relevant tests for recurrent miscarriage with NHS and nothing was flagged up. They are saying it’s “bad luck” where can you go for private miscarriage testing? I have tried acupuncture yes, It made little difference to be honest and I didn’t particularly enjoy it. My body did seem to go straight back to normal after the mc. Thanks for the advice. Xx
