Hi, I’m single with no fertility problems yet I’m turning 39 next month and just wondering if anyone has had any success with IUI and donor sperm in a similar situation?
I know my age is against me technically for IUI however I can’t afford IVF so just wondering if it’s worth my while going for this.
Thanks

Hello

Any more information on IUI?

Looking at Denmark clinics
Any tips please?????

I’m currently 16 weeks after successful ivf.

Be forewarned the costs of ivf are much higher than you think. It cost me around £9k to include donor sperm (this was just under £1k alone) and freezing. Medication was soooo expensive.

I had a MMC after this round so then had FET and this cost over £3k.

I’m 41. Went for ivf after fertility check.

Hello,

9k sounds ridiculous ? I pay around 2500€ per attempt, this includes the donor sperm, the actual insemination, flights and hotels (and flights can be expensive as I live in the middle east).

I'm younger than you OP but for me it worked on the second try. My son is 10 months old. Currently trying for my second and last dc. Waiting for results actually.

I think IUI is a good choice if you're single and want kids.

As far as I know, if you don't have results after 6 rounds, you might want to look ar IVF. I would also do a full check-up prior to starting.
