Any day 2 success stories

Hi all. We’ve had a fairly depressing 3rd cycle of ivf and had a really poor response to stims compared to previous cycles. We only managed to get 5 eggs of which 4 were mature. Only 2 fertilised normally so have to have a day 2 transfer tomorrow if they are still alive.
Can anyone tell me that this has any chance of success from personal experience? I’m feeling pretty demoralised by the whole thing.

I didn't respond before as I don't have a 2 day success story (yet!) but I hope you will have!
My clinic had always planned a 2 day transfer with me and said they do have successful pregnancies from them.

Sorry beanhunter, I know how you feel.
I had a 2 day transfer in April, but started bleeding before official test date.(Although clinic said when I rang it was not definite I trusted the FRER).
Very similar numbers to you, 4 collected, of which 3 mature, 2 fertilised normally and transferred both.
Having a break for probably 2 months before trying again, I appreciate you are only just in the throes of this so sending support 💐

Sorry to hear that you're both struggling. For what it's worth, we did 3 lots of transfers the first time round and 2 lots the second time ... don't give up.

When you say you did 2 and 3 lots of transfers, does that mean your clinic froze embryos at 2 days?

I didn't have any to freeze so it's a new cycle for me. I think Beanhunter you are in the same boat, it sounds like you had both embryos transferred as you said 'they' but maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Just realised Treacle you meant that amount of transfers to get each pregnancy, sorry, I read it as cycles.
