Hand hold please - GP appointment for SA results this morning

DH and I have been trying for 20 months. I have DD (4) from a previous relationship and she was an unplanned pregnancy with the coil in situ so this has come as a bit of a shocker.
I’ve had:
Day 3 + 21 bloods
Dildocam ( internal ultrasound)
Everything clear

His SA results came back a month ago but the GP said he wanted us to have an appointment to discuss results and today was the soonest non emergency apt available.

I am crapping myself. DH has said he’s always had a feeling it would be his issue, and not mine, but this would mean the end of the road for us for now as we don’t qualify for any funding.
Sad

Hand-holder here! That would make anyone anxious. I guess the main thing I'd say is, if the news is that there's an issue, maybe think a bit about what questions you can ask to find out about exactly how severe that issue is - some MFI issues can be addressed through medication and/or lifestyle changes, so it's not always the case that IVF is required. It's also not uncommon for an SA to be repeated as the results can vary, so it may be worth asking about this, too.

Fingers crossed for you.

Low motility, low morphology and low count - triple whammy and below the 2.5th centile. 0.1% chance of conceiving naturally. Luckily we’re both in fairly good spirits; I think we both knew this was the case. Next steps is a referral to the fertility clinic but as we won’t get the funding, I think this is the end of the road for a good few years.

I'm sorry to hear that. Look after yourselves.
