Hi all,

Ivf abroad , have finally after a week of trying to sort prescription get my meds ordered. Only problem is the pharmacy said they don't supply needle or syringe for one of the infections that I was planning on administering at home (I'm a nurse, husband willing). Where on earth will I source these from ? I'm not currently working and have moved to different place so no local friends who are nurses. GP not very keen to get involved with Any of it so doubt they would supply them..... any tips???

Do you have a local needle exchange in your area? You don't have to provide details of why u are collecting or your details. As long as you know what you need, they usually have 1ml complete syringe with fixed needles, 2ml barrels, 5ml barrels, sterile water, blue/green/orange needles and sharps bins

I went to my local pharmacy and asked. They gave me some - they were also the local needle exchange.

Or order online? Google? Lots of people order ivf drugs from specialist pharmacies they must be able to send them. Or a travel medicine clinic will sell clean ‘sharps kits’ including needles

Are you having several medicines which are injections? If so, could you not use the needles and syringes which come with some of the other drugs? I was always given a needle and syringe pack with my meds and had a massive surplus at the end of every cycle.

Suprisrd the chemist didn’t provide needles as well

Look online. Should be able to get some
