PCOS, infertility & slimming world

Went back for my 6month follow up after taking metformin. DR has said nothing more can be done on the NHS at the moment... I need to lose weight!! So I went straight from the appt to my local slimming world group.

Metformin is helping to regulate my periods, from 154 days, slowly down to the most recent being 32 days!! I am hoping that after shifting a bit of weight it will help me with TTC#1.

I'm wondering if anyone else has any other slimming world/pcos/ttc success stories?

Yes! I do! DH and I had been TTC for a year with no success when I was diagnosed with PCOS and advised to lose weight (my BMI was around 27 so not ridiculous but still overweight).
I began Slimming World a couple of weeks after and, after losing around a stone and a half, my periods became more regular (from around a 60 day cycle to a 30ish day cycle. I found out I was pregnant a few months later. Unfortunately, the pregnancy did not end well, but nothing to do with any of the issues you’ve mentioned.
Apart from knowing I can fall pregnant, I’m so much happier in my body and love clothes shopping etc now. Wishing you all the best of luck.Flowers
