Hello to anyone that reads this, I’m new to this site and this topic has probably been discussed a thousand times over!

I am currently going through my 2nd MC this year, I have just turned 25 and started TTC#1 at the beginning of the year. I appear to have no problems conceiving, it’s actually staying pregnant that I can’t seem to do. Lost this one at 5w3d and passed most of it at 2am last night in completely agony on the toilet which has completely mentally and physically drained me. For the past 2 weeks I had been looking at maternity clothes, taking my pregnacare vitamins, I even bought bio oil to start rubbing on my stomach to help the skin when it starts to stretch! I was excited at the prospect of having a Xmas baby due 2 weeks before Xmas day.

And now this. I’m sorry if this comes across as a “poor me” post. But if anyone, ANYONE has been through this and has some success stories, please share as I could really do with some positive vibes coming this way.

Thank you for reading
Ells x

Hello Ells, I’m afraid I can’t offer a success story but I can sympathise. I’m 21 and have had 2 miscarriages and possibly a 3rd.

I miscarried last at 9 weeks in January. It was a missed miscarriage so I didn’t find out until the scan reveald only a yolk sac was left. Started bleeding the next day for about 2 weeks.

I’m pregnant now but went for an early scan on Friday. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find anything but it may be because it’s too early. (They didn’t sound v positive though). I have to wait 10 days for another.

It’s a horrible thing to go through. You feel completely let down by your own body. I’m so sorry, but what I will say is that there are many people out there who have a few miscarriages before going on to have successful pregnancies. My close friend is 20 and his mum had 3 miscarriages before going on to have 3 healthy babies.

So sorry @Ells0204.

Have you seen the Miscarriage board under the Body & Soul category? Lots of women who have unfortunately been through the same.

Thanks

Thanks for your replies, I didn’t realise there was a board actually for this type of thing but I’ve just been on it and agreed, very helpful! Thank you

Hi els you may want to ask mumsnet to move your thread over. Probably a better place for it x

I am no expert but what I have been through had was more like you, have had three MC'S. They were terrible and affected me emotionally as well as physically. My husband did very well in keeping my hopes high up. And after nearly 9 years of struggle, we are perusing surrogacy. Consult with a good fertility doctor, as the treatment will be suggested depending on the diagnosis of your multiple MCs'. I wish you good luck!!
