Hello,
Is anyone using/has used Wessex fertility clinic? I'm thinking of using them and just thought I'd ask you lovely lot xxx

I had an ICSI cycle with them last year, which unfortunately didn’t work. Also used them as a link to IB in Alicante last year for a donor cycle which also failed.
I found them to be really good on the whole - easy to get hold of, gave me as much info as I wanted, appointments were always on time and the staff were all lovely. The debrief I had following the failed ICSI was so much better than the follow ups I had for my previous three failures at another clinic ( where it was essentially “you keep paying and we’ll keep doing the same thing!”).

Hi I used them last year for my first fresh cycle. Unfortunately it didn’t work and I didn’t get any to freeze. I am currently going through my 2nd fresh but I have changed clinics. It was nothing Wessex did/didn’t do particularly, I just couldn’t go back there. I found the follow up meeting a bit useless actually (so different to what ironyfreeannie said). And I have found my new clinic to be more thorough.
But everyone is different and I think one of the most important things is that you feel comfortable and happy with where you’re going. Good luck!

Thanks @IronyFreeAnnie & @bjonesreborn for your replies ladies! I'm going there tomorrow for my initial blood tests before I have my initial consultation. To think I didn't want kids at all then I left my ex, found my soul mate (sorry I know that's cheesy) and my body just kind of said 'this ones a good'un you can breed with him' lol I'm 38 now, very content and suddenly would really love to have a family to share this with! My partner is the same as me too so fingers crossed it all pans out. Good luck to you both and to anyone else that happens upon this xxx

@cowchickenduckdog Hi OP, sorry for reviving this older post. How was your experience with Wessex please? Thanks!

cowchickenduckdog · 19/09/2023 13:00

Hi, no problem at all. I found them to be brilliant I now have a happy four year old boy and I’m very happy to recommend them. Our second attempt wasn’t successful so we just thanked our lucky stars that we have our son and left it at that. Best of luck to you xxx

@cowchickenduckdog Many thanks for coming back to me, that’s very kind of you. Many congratulations 🎉 I really was hoping that you would have had a baby, so glad to know. I have just turned 40 and have 2 failed fresh transfers and a frozen transfer at Complete and they have moved their location recently and haven’t resumed treatment so was wondering if I should move to TFP. Thanks a lot, again!
