Exercise during ivf?

Hello mumsnetters

We are looking at our ivf options.
Those of you who’ve been through this- were you advised to cease all exercise? For the whole process or just after implantation?

I currently go to yoga 2/3 times a week but am aware that I use my core and pelvic floor when doing so and I’m wondering how careful I need to be? Plenty of women do yoga during pregnancy but I’m not sure as I obviously want to give the best possible chance for the ivf!
I’m likely to get conflicting opinions from different clinics I know but I just wondered if there’s a consensus?
Thanks so much

One of the significant things to think about is during stims, you can be at risk of ovarian torsion (especially as you get closer to retrieval and your ovaries are a lot bigger than they normally would be). So, they often advise against anything that might lead to that happening.

I exercised as normal (mainly les mills classes at the gym) until about a week before egg collection when I felt too bloated. Had no ill effects and wasn't advised I avoid anything strenuous until after then. I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and have done bugger all since as too tired/nauseous etc.
