Any advice following Laparoscopy

Hiya,

I had a laparoscopy yesterday and they found both tubes clear, both ovaries normal and removed endometriosis. I have no follow up appointment and no real instructions from them except "crack on".

I have some questions though...

Now that's done does this mean my chances are better for conception? Ttc 3yrs and nothing even though we have been trying everything to help.

Can I literally crack on? As in is it worth sex tonight or should I discount this month and start next month?

Anyone have success after this type of surgery?

TIA

Hey, I had a lap in Nov and my tubes were also clear, they took out endo and some small cysts. I was a bit sore after for a few days, got my period five days later and then tried that cycle in the fertile window...and conceived!! This was after two years trying for #2 without a hint of a bfp. I’m 18 weeks pregnant now!

I had the same vague instructions after to “crack on”. I was sceptical but it really did the trick. I didn’t have sex until next fertile window as I was a bit tender and I didn’t see it as necessary til then 🙂

Best of luck x

I "cracked" on after my Lap and still didn't conceive. It's different for everyone. There may be other issues. Keep trying and if no luck after a few months go back to doc. May need to consider ivf etc.
Good luck!

I didn’t have a lap but did have a HyCoSy and SIS and both tubes were clear, uterine cavity is clear, everything else in there looks fine. I was also told to just carry on. Like it’s just that easy!

@bluemoonchances we can't afford ivf so wouldn't be an option to us. All our eggs are literally in this basket. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Thank you everyone else. I'll see what OH sats now he's gone to bed. I'm currently settling the big boy back to sleep!

Morning ladies. Sooooo I went ahead and dtd last night anyway. I wasn't really in any pain and my bleeding was none existent yesterday so didn't think it would do any harm. There's a bit of blood this morning though. Maybe should have waited. Both of us agreed though we didn't want to miss out on an opportunity and on CD9/10 it seems like we would be if we didn't try.

Super worried it was a mistake though 😢
