Hi, has anyone got any tips for a fertility diet? What have you eaten etc?

Yes, clean eating. I cut out sugar, gluten, processed foods and caffeine and conceived naturally in 3 months after 6.5 years of TTC plus 2 IVF cycles. Eating nutrient rich natural plant based food also took Inofolic and ubiquinol. Also had fertility boosting reflexology. It was tough and took a lot of will power as I have a sweet tooth and adore chocolate :-)

Hi Kjackson02,

This article contains a list of things fertility specialists either support or believe won’t have any adverse effects: theduff.co.uk/egg-quality-quantity-ovarian-reserve/

(Scroll down to Is there anything else I can do to improve egg quality? Incense? Crystals? Chanting? ANYTHING?)

Hope that helps!

Mish

Peas and rhubarb are supposed to decrease fertility so eat less of those. There's a great book called The Fertility Diet

What helped me with my last was giving up coffee and a coincidental dose of antibiotics. Or it could have all been a coincidence.

There is a lot of evidence coming out now in support of a Mediterranean diet. This includes oily fish, whole grains like quinoa, lots of vegetables, healthy fats (full fat green yogurt, etc) nuts and seeds. Avoid white bread, pasta, potatoes, sugar, processed foods.

I'm preparing for my FET so have started this morning with bacon, eggs and avocado.

I am trying to cut carbs, eat more greens, eat more pulses, just generally more healthy all round.

Need to get back into exercising too. I was trying to exercise 3 times a week before my fresh cycle and I felt good.

I might make a black bean stew for dinner Grin
