Anyone know why the thread was deleted @Flamingo44 @BeePositive @SP33 @HWF4?

Did it get deleted as there were too many comments? I think you can only have 1000. Thanks for setting up a new one though x

Hi ladies. Yes, it got to 40 pages and 1,000 or 10,000 comments - too big. Sad it's gone. A lot of history and emotions on that thread. Thanks @Lizjulie1234 for setting up a new place for us all to connect again x

@geeup - are you still about? Smile

Has anyone started their second cycle at the Nuffield and had success? If so what changed from your first cycle? X

Am doing ok thanks - some days easier than others. I’m trying to focus on the positives in that at least now I know I can be pregnant and all was well with me physically at 21 weeks. On the other hand it wasn’t easy to get to this point and so having to go through the IVF process again feels like a lot to deal with right now. I’m sure it will feel more manageable in time.

Hope all is well with everyone else. Once I feel up to it I’ll call the clinic and arrange a review so I understand what we’d change for the next cycle xx

So pleased you are trying to remain positive @SP33. You have been through so much with such a devastating time recently, but you are amazing to focus on the fact you did fall pregnant and were well throughout. Such a long journey and you're right not to rush forward. Take your time to grieve as needed, get physically well again and ready mentally for thinking about future cycles. I hope VW are supportive and will help you with next steps. Do reach back and keep us posted xxx

Hi, we had our review yesterday and they have said to try again and keep everything the same except they aren't going to do icsi, has anyone had a scratch at the Nuffield or been offered this?

Hi Kjackson02, why aren't they doing ICSI for you next time, I thought this was more of a "guaranteed" option?
Re: scratch - yes, I've had this and felt it is a helpful procedure to make the uterus is more receptive to an embryo. It's not pleasant, but the logic and studies around it make sense. Good luck!

Hi ladies, would it be ok to join you?
I was on the old thread at the very beginning offering advice as I has ivf at the VW and was lucky enough to get a bfp.
My bfp is now almost 13 months and we are trying for a second july/August /September.
I have a single solitary frosty in storage so will be having a fet.
However- I do understand (because I've been there -10 years before bfp) if you'd prefer I join the trying for a 2nd thread instead. I will not be offended in the slightest. (Pm if not comfortable saying online )

Welcome back drinkyourmilk. Appreciate your tentativeness on rejoining here (and hopefully other ladies will join in with their personal feelings and views too). For me, the fact you are cycling through VW is a good enough reason to be here. And that you've had success with your 13 month old BFP (congratulations!) gives me positive hope that VW is a great clinic and we can all get what we dream for through them.

Wishing you all the best with your upcoming FET!

@BeePositive they said there was good enough fertilisation without icsi so this time round they are not recommending it, I will call on Monday re the scratch and see what they say. We can't start again until July due to holiday in June so if we got a positive they don't recommend you fly! Bit gutted but hopefully time goes by quickly xx
