Hi ladies, could you give me an idea of timeline using the antagonist protocol based on your experiences. I am having the drugs delivered 4th April. And am due on my period 19th April. How does it work? the literature they have given is a bit confusing! Thank you in advance 🤗

Hi Bobby,
This is my first antagonist cycle, the plan is 12 days of stims, I started cycle day 4 but I think the usual is to start day 2 or 3. So egg collection should be a couple of weeks after period starts.
Some clinics may prescribe the pill or norethisterone (spelling?) before an antagonist cycle to control when your period starts.
If you're not taking the pill I'd expect you to have a scan and start stims soon after period starts, have some monitoring and then egg collection early May.

Thanks for your reply. No I haven’t heard I’ll be put on the pill so hopefully it’ll be quick. I can’t wait to get started. I’m so hoping it works first time, I don’t have issues myself as far as they have found, (and already have a daughter) my partner has low sperm, hence why we are having ICSI) I am older at 38, and obviously not every pregnancy sticks unfortunately. We have 2 goes on the nhs so feeing the pressure but so excited. Thanks for the good luck and loads of luck for you as well.

I am on the antagonist protocol, not started yet so haven’t received my full plan. I have my medications though. Advised that I must have a scan on day 2 in the morning of my cycle. Medication will commence on day 2, further scans on day 5 and 7, go to the clinic on day 10 for a further scan to make sure all is ok before I get a trigger shot.
