Hi i was just wondering if anyone could share their experience with Glasgow royal infirmary? We are going through our 2nd attempt of icsi and I have a feeling things haven't went well. I have read online that GCRM have better success rates than the royal and are considering contacting them to see if they could do anything else. Thanks xx

I went through ICSi 4times in 2009-2011 (one private and x3 nhs tries) X2 attempts worked briefly.

I had to push to be listened to and I felt like just a number every time I was there-even when a private client. But it is mainly an nhs clinic and they provided the ivf treatment to their best ability. I would assume their skills have increased over the years and they would be up to date with procedures just like the other clinics.
Gri was much cheaper than gcrm or nuffield so I never visited those clinics and cant comment on them.
Good luck!

Hi
I've had a failed cycle at GRI
I have secondary infertility so it was a privately funded cycle.
I've decided to go to GCRM for my second cycle because just like others have said GRI is an NHS facility that offers private cycles. I was very much treated just like the NHS patients.
The service I got was not bad but the success rates are better at GCRM.
Costs are about £2000 more expensive though for the cycle and then add more if you have frozen embryos to use.

Thanks curlyeurllas and jasper0527 I feel like I'm just a number to them too. To be honest I'm not too bothered by that I just want it to work. GCRM have an open event in april so I might go along to see how much it is and what they could do. Would you recommend GCRM jasper0527? Xx

Hi there
I've just had my initial assessment so far but you are treated very nicely and they have been very helpful and friendly so far. X

@Jasper0527 I hope you don't mind me asking but what did they do st your initial assessment. I have mine next week

Jasper0527 · 28/03/2018 22:06

Sperm analysis for man
Female - questionnaire about cycle etc and then AMh blood test and tranvaginal
Scan looking at size of follicles, number, size of ovaries etc.
Then you meet with consultant and discuss options.
