Gyne discharged me with no problems at all. GP wants to refer DH & I to fertility which means more tests for me & a test for DH. What other tests could they possibly do on me? I've had blood tests, I've had scans both internally & ultrasound. What's left to do?

HSG/hycosy to check if your tubes are open, sometimes a lap&dye, or hysteroscopy, and at least two separate semen analysis for DH. I also had extra bloods done once referred to fertility service (AMH, rubella, etc.)

What's HSG/hycosy & Lap & dye?

HSG/HyCoSy are the same thing. Kind of. Both involve putting a catheter into your cervix and injecting dye into your cavity and up through our tubes to check for blockages. A HSG uses an X-ray and a HyCoSy uses ultrasound. They will also do a SIS at the same time which is basically inflating your uterus and injecting dye in to check for adhesions, shape of uterus etc. You’ll also need a few more blood tests and your OH will need to do at least one more SA. They might also do a hysteroscopy which involves putting a camera into the cervix to get a better look at your endometrium and uterine cavity of yheres any suspected scarring, fibroids etc.

I had test through GP, then further tests from gynaecologist, then final tests in fertility clinic and now I'm in my 2ww. 11 months of tests in total xxxx
