I won't get IVF I have 1dc

PCOS and not ovulating. Already on metformin.

Other than clomid what meds could I take to induce ovulation and what are the risks?

I ended up with a psychosis after clomid years ago so it's not an option

lertozole? or Injectables? Not sure about side effects etc and compatibility with metformin. I've only been on clomid (cycle 6 currently). Speak to your doc, preferably consultant.

Hi

I assume they told you no ovulation after a 21 day blood test?
I have mild pcos and my 21 day came back no ovulation, put me on clomid, still no ovulation. Checked around and found that Agnus castis helped - still negative for ovulation despite OPKs giving positive LH surge. Looked further into it and found that 21 day would be negative because of the length of my cycle. Did a 26 day test instead - positive for ovulation. 6 months follow up and my 26 day test came back negative for ovulation - my consultant was really good and asked me if I had been using the ibuprofen that had been prescribed by my GP, told her yes - she said well that’s why I didn’t ovulate, apparently it delays/prevents ovulation. Did another 26 day and was positive.

Don’t get too disheartened, as you can see there are a variety of factors that can affect it.

Weight loss will probably make more difference than any drug. Apologies if you're not overweight but 99% off those with PCOS are
