Looking for best IVF clinics in UK and which ones to avoid

Hello everyone

We are just exploring the IVF route in UK. I am 41.5 years old with one daughter of 5 year (naturally conceived). After struggling to get the second one, finally we are exploring IVF option before the time really runs out. We live in Hertfordshire.

I am basically looking for some recommendations especially from 40+ mums, but suggestions are welcome from everyone. Being a complete newbie to IVF and a new comer to UK as well, I would really appreciate your advices. Which are the best clinics and the clinics which should be avoided, price range etc.

We went for an open evening at Herts and essex fertility centre in Cheshunt. Feeling was okayish….I have read about Lister. Is it any good?

Could you share your experiences and suggestions please? Thanks in advance.

If you are NHS eligible for your other health requirements, I would suggest that you choose a clinic attached to an NHS hospital. When things went horribly wrong for us in IVF I was quickly moved downstairs into the NHS GYN ward for urgent medical treatment.
