High AFC but low AMH?

Can anyone help? I can't speak to my consultant until Wednesday and I'm driving myself mad googling.

I have an AFC of 21
FSH 9.8iu/L
AMH 11.4 pmol

I'm finding it strange that I have a good AFC and the other two readings aren't very good. I'm 32.

I expect you'll be fine. I'm 31 my AMH is 8 , FSH 11.8 and AFC 9 so diminished ovarian reserve. They gave me a high dose of drugs because of it and then I was overstimulated with 32 follicles, 20 eggs retrieved. Unfortunately only got 2 poor quality embryos from that and testing DH for high dna sperm fragmentation but may also be an egg problem though overstimulation.

First round of IVF is an experiment really to try work out what drugs you need. The best test of ovarian reserve is how you respond to ivf - so no amount of googling will give you the answer you want I'm afraid!! With that AFC I'm sure they'll get some eggs at some point don't worry! NICE recommend 3 cycles for a reason x

Also I think AFC is probably the best market of reserve other results help guide dose of drugs so I wouldn't worry they're so different but might make it hard for the doctors to know what dose to give for cycle 1
