Where do I belong?!

I feel like I’m not sure where to post. I’m not quite at then fertility treatment stage yet but can’t bloody conceive either!

Been TTC for 16 months with not a sniff of a BFP. Had day 21 bloods done all fine. Waiting for results of day 2 bloods and got an ultrasound next week. DH has SA next week too so guess we will see from there.

I don’t really know what I’m posting for I guess a hand hold? I had no idea TTC would be this hard. I’ve been told for years to make sure your protect against pregnancy if you don’t want a baby as soon as you stop protection you will get pregnant....that’s just not happened! Off the pill for three years now. I’m just not sure where we are going wrong. I’m 29 (soon to be 30) for healthy ideal weight and bmi regualrly exercise don’t smoke rarely drink. DH is 32 very fit healthy diet doesn’t smoke and occasional drink.

I feel like I can’t stay on the conception boards anymore as I’m starting to feel twisted at those people falling pregnant way faster than me (how mean is that!!)

Sorry for the moan!

I could have written that (but I'm 33...). Been trying for 16 months too. Really don't know what else to do and I feel really down. Blood tests were normal (but weren't done at any particular day of the cycle which is weird!) and dh's test came back normal too. If you ever want to chat DM me.

Mrsjones17 · 07/03/2018 21:28

Thanks for replying @gonnabreakmyrustycage

It’s just so tough isn’t it. Sometimes I think I’m ok with it all and getting on with stuff and then other tones I just feel so fed up of it all!

Seems strange not to have bloods done on a certain day? I thought they had to be on specific days!

@Mrsjones17 you belong wherever you feel most comfortable! I commend you for only starting to have these feelings at 16 months in, it set in for me much earlier 😂 perfectly normal, but I've found it's easier with people who more mirror my own experiences.

Everyone in my family is a super fertile myrtle so it hit me pretty hard once we passed a year. It takes some time to wrap your head around. I hope everything's normal for you and you're just one of those who takes a bit longer but until then you're in good company x

Mrsjones17 · 07/03/2018 21:44

Thank you @expatknitter for making me feel welcome Haha

Yep everyone super fertile in my family too which is adding to the stress. My mum conceived both me and my sister (4 years apart) within 3 months ttc. My sister baby due next month and was very much planned but literally a one hit wonder the on the first month of trying. My SIL is also pregnant with an ‘accidental’ pregnancy! Whilst I’m thrilled for them both, I can’t help but think when is it my turn?

Do you know when your fertile time of the month is?
Xx

expatknitter · 07/03/2018 21:57

@Mrsjones17 my cousin had the most recent baby in the family, she got pregnant immediately after coming off bc.. like didn't ever know if she was ovulating. It makes it harder when you're the only one in your family to have these issues. It's all feels super unfair.

@Lilymossflower no one who's ttc for 16 mo is unclear about when they ovulate..

Lilymossflower · 07/03/2018 22:10

Sorry, I don't know what ttc means :)

physicskate · 07/03/2018 22:39

Lily moss. Ttc means trying to conceive. Are you sure you should be on the infertility board??

Mrsjones17 · 08/03/2018 06:58

@lilymosaflower are you serious? If that’s a genuine question I find it hard to believe that 1) you would know what FW stands for but not TTC and 2) that you would be perusing the infertility boards. I can’t help but wonder have you posted that just to rile people. To answer your question yes I do know when it is month after month for 16 months. Thanks!

@physicskate I had the same thought! Want to say hello, I have seen a few of your posts over on the conceptions boards and it was a recent post about moving over here after long time ttc that helped me post here. Thank you and thanks for some awesome advice not necessarily directly to me but what I have read to other.

@expatknitter yep it’s a difficult one. My cousin also go his gf ‘accidentally’ pregnant 2 years ago!

Hi!!

Thanks. I'm just trying to provide a measure of bitterness reasonableness. Some people need a hand hold. Some people need hard truths...

Mrsjones17 · 08/03/2018 09:04

@physicskate I think I need a blend of both! 😉

Mrsjones17 i'm feeling a bit the same. Not quite as far down the line as you, 1 year tomorrow since i took my last bc pill and not even a sniff of a bfp Sad Don't feel like i'm quite ready to join the infertility boards but the conception chat is just getting me down. We've decided to wait until May to go to the Dr which is actually making me feel a bit better that i have a plan now.
Yip know exactly what you mean about all the family pregnancies, i have 5 due this year

Mrsjones17 · 09/03/2018 19:46

Hi @merrz yep family pregnancies are tough. I defienyelynfwlt better once we had a bit of a plan together. Probably a good thing you’ve given yourself a goal.

On other news had day 2 blood results back today and think they look ok. FSH level of 6.5 and lH level of 6.2. After of a bit of research all seems ok. Just Monday’s SA for DH and ultrasound for me to go!
