Help with Ovulation/Clomid/Metformin

I need some advice. I have been using OPK's since CD12, currently on CD16 and still no positive! I had a faint second line yesterday so was adamant today was the day and its even fainter! Can the test line fade and then go darker the next day? I am worried i've missed Ovulation now(although been testing like a mad woman 3 times a day!!) I am taking clomid and previous cycles I have had a positive by now! I have also started on Metformin this month too so could that have an impact on Ovulation?

Don't really know what i am asking or if anyone can help i just need a rant. Been TTC for 2 years with 2 MCs and only have 3 more cycles of Clomid before IVF so just feel so pressured

Yes the line can go dark then light then dark. It depends on all sorts of things.

Metformin is meant to have an impact on ovulation, so that could be a factor, as can stress.

I get the pressure... two years too and I've just started clomid cycle 6 - the last one. Two chemicals for me; July 16 and March 17. Infertility is shit.

Good luck!!

@physicskate Thanks for the response, I will keep testing and try and chill a little. Think we are in similar positions. Are you going to move onto IVF or not? It's the pressure of 'only having 3 more goes' Its like a ticking time bomb!

Honestly, third and fourth clomid cycle were the worst. After fourth cycle I went to a pretty dark place and I am now on anti-depressants (very very low dose) but I think that those meds have helped me find a place of acceptance a bit more. I'm not even thinking next cycle can work, I'm thinking, I jut have to get through that to go to IVF. I was silly for actually thinking clomid could work.

So yes, we have our next appointment on March 12, and we were told to expect IVF to start from there. Presumably I will need bloods taken as I haven't had any tests since last July and I want them to check on a fibroid they said was 'tiny' but I know clomid can cause them to grow. I just feel like I haven't been offered hardly any tests! I've had four blood tests and four ultrasound scans (three from a tracked cycle - my first on clomid back on October). That's it. So obviously, I am 'unexplained' even though they discovered polycystic ovaries and they don't seem to care to do the tests to see if it's endometriomas or pcos!!

Talk about things moving at a glacial pace...
