Midlands Fertility Clinics

Hi all!

Newbie here :) DH and I have been TTC for over a year now, we recently started seeing our GP to find out more and see what we can do. I've had blood tests, day 3 & 21, which came back normal. DH sperm results came back today and it wasn't quite the news we were hoping for! He's got plenty of swimmers but mobility is half what it should be. GP has recommended looking in to fertility clinics and doing some research to find out who we want to seek assistance from but she couldn't really recommend anyone.

Can anyone recommend fertility clinics in the Midlands? Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham areas are closest to us. We're looking to go private, I think fertility centre at LRI is closest but I can't find much on who would be best to go to. The trusty 'Best fertility centres near me' search didn't yield much :(

Apologies for the long post and thank you in advance!

I'm in Leicester and the LRI fertility clinic's success rates are okay but if you're going private and don't mind a 25 mile drive then I would look at Care or Nurture in Nottingham 😊

Thanks polkadotpixie, I gave LRI centre a call today and lady wasn’t very nice! Tried Spire & Create and both were super welcoming and helpful - now just to decide which have the best doctors

I know lots of people who have used Nurture and had babies, I've also had icsi with them and also a FET with them, they were really really good with me. ( I MC'd but that wasn't their fault!) while I was pregnant they monitored me really closely until I transferred over to NHS care.
They just seem to care about their patients.
I've not heard good things about Care fertility, heard they're bad at getting back to you with results and keeping you up to date. Think because they're so big they have lost the personal touch (and I've got to use them for my next treatment as no one else does it locally... I'm dreading it.. wish Nurture could do it)

Hello I am at Care, they are friendly and no problems with actual treatment but agree it is hard to get someone on phone, you leave a message usually and they call back, but I find it hard to answer phone so can go on all day missing each other, they need to improve that I think, but treatment itself good so not that big a deal overall would have much more of a problem with questionable treatment...
