Hi guys... on my first round of IVF and I’m crazy anxious after my day 5 stims Scan!
At my initial consultation scan, they found 6 follicles, which at 40 yrs the clinic was happy with...
At baseline on Monday there were only 4 so doctor decided we should start on 450 Gonal f to give us the best chance...
However yesterday at my day 5 stims there were 2 follies on my right ovary (usually the lazier of the two) 1 x 10, 1 x 13... but they couldn’t see the left ovary (which is usually the better) this one has proved difficult to see in last 2 scans... the technician said that it was early and should hopefully have a better idea at next scan on Monday (day 8).
We then went to see the nurse told me to continue with 450 Gonal and to start on cetrotide that day... But then dropped a bombshell, she said that we should be prepared for the fact that we might only get one egg?!
I’m now freaked out... It never even crossed my mind we would have this issue, any advice or stories would be greatly appreciated ladies! Baby dust to all ❤️
