Having ivf after tubal ligation

Hi, just wondering if anyone has pursued Ivf after being sterilised?
Ive had four children and thought my family was complete so at the time of my fourth c-section, my tubes were tied.
My Exh had an affair and we split and I've met a wonderful man and we're engaged.
We would love a baby together ( he has four too ).
We've seen a private consultant and I've had bloods to check my ovarian reserve (I'm now 40).
I get we are so so lucky to have our children already.

I didn't have ivf but I did have my sterilisation reversed, for me it felt the better option as we would have more than one chance of success.

They mentioned reversal but I may need a camera investigation to see which part of the tubes were cut as they think it's the important parts closest to the ovaries have been removed and therefore cannot be reversed.

Well if you do have IVF you will have to go private since you already have kids.
If you can afford it and it's what you want,good luck x
