First cycle ivf- how many follicles?

Hi all
New to mumsnet, first post but really in need of some support/advice.
Doing my first ivf cycle (long protocol). Had my day 8 scan (the first scan) and got 5 follicles on one side and 4 on the other. Is this low for this stage? Can you end up having more by the next scan? Thank you, it's such a stressful time, so many questions!

You're about the same stage as most of us - my first scan (day 10) is tomorrow - my Antral follicle count is 9 when I first got assessed so I'm hoping and expecting to get roughly the same number as you! X
