Metformin prior to ICSI

Has anyone ever used metformin prior to an ICSI cycle?

I've been a poor responder in my previous cycles so my specialist has commenced me on metformin which I'm going to continue whilst injecting.

Just wonder if anyone's had any success with it?

A friend of mine was prescribed this to assist her issues with conception, she became pregnant after 2 months of the metformin, could be coincidence ....with my history of failed IVF's when i do get to another clinic i will be mentioning it.

Thank you. The plan is to take it and the pill and then continue taking it whilst down regulating so it's not for a more natural conception - it's to help with IVF and stimulation response which I haven't heard off before. I hope it works!
