Success on Clomid after early MC

Hi All,

Hoping to hear some success stories please?

Last month, I sadly had a MC at 6 weeks. Was completely heartbroken as we had been TTC #1 for 18 months and on our first round of 50mg Clomid we finally got out BFP but sadly this wasn’t meant to be.

I am fortunate as my period arrived 4 weeks after the MC and this month I have restarted Clomid but I am so worried that it either will not work or, if it does work we will MC again.

Has anyone got any success stories they could share please? xx

First of all I'm really sorry to hear about your MC, but also congratulations on being able to conceive on your first round. That's really positive and shows that Clomid at 50mg works for you. If you had not conceived after a few months the doctor probably would have upped it to 100mg.

I got pregnant on my second round of Clomid 50mg and I am now 34 weeks pregnant, although still worrying every single day! I don't think I'll stop worrying until I deliver!

MCs are very common in all pregnancies before the 12 week mark, so please don't think your fertility issues or the Clomid played a part and that it won't work again! It sounds like it was unfortunately just one of those things. I am really confident you will get a BFP again and carry a child to full term.

I think you are right, I need to separate the miscarriage from the Clomid/infertility issue we had and remain positive that next time it will hopefully stick! Xx

So sorry to hear about your mc. I had 2 last year, both conceived on 'natural' cycles. After the 2nd I stopped ovulating and was given 50 mg of clomid. I conceived on 2nd cycle and am currently 14 weeks.
Be kind to yourself over the next few weeks/months.
