Hi all just wanted some advice and what others thought of taking the fertility tablets Clomid. I have the option if taking Clomid but wanted to see what others thought about it. Has it worked for others and how long does it take before you got pregnant. Also is there any major side effects that anyone experienced?

I know a lot of questions, I'm just very anxious and just want to know what others opinions are.

It worked for me on my 4th. Had 3 rounds, had a break then tried again. According to my bloods I would not have got pregnant without it. Beware of the risk of ectopic and mutiples though x

My bloods have never detected ovulation, it’s bizarre. Even on an ultrasound they could see I had released an egg though.
I honestly do not understand my strange little body!
Multiples as in twins?
I have read some risks but I figured google will scare you out of anything?

jassmells what dose were you on by the last cycle?

Oh I'm sorry I have no idea it was 6 years ago now. Used to take one tablet a day from a blister pack if that helps.

Hi all I wrote on here a few months ago talking about Clomid and whether anyone has taken it and whether it has worked for anyone. I've had all my tests done from the hospital and the doctor gave me my results be straight away saying everything is fine.

I am now waiting for my appointment which is in May for the doctor who is dealing with me to tell me the same thing that all is ok and that you can start your tablets. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi I'm about to take 3rd round of chlomid after not ovulating on last two. 400mg prescribed days 2-6. I have had to have norethisterone as no bleed since 6 Jan, finished norethisterone last weds, severe cramping last couple of days but only brown discharge... Desperate to take next lot of chlomid and tempted to start tmw... I have read of people getting prescribed it with no bleed anyone any experience of this? Thanks

Sorry that is 100mg not 400!!!!

@Sooziq no sorry just remember norithisterone being the most horrendous things I've taken for mood swing and pain. I'd ask your doctor, no point in using your clomid up if you need a bleed first. Have you had a HSG?
