ARGC Process

Hello,

Hoping for some help wit the ARGC process.

We have had the initial consultation and hoping to start the monitoring cycle in January with my period expected on the 3rd of Jan. How many times will I have to go in to ARGC during the monitoring cycle, just so I can arrange time off work?

Once monitoring is complete, what happens next and again how often would I need to go into the clinic, again so I can arrange time off?

Many thanks,

P

Hi Poodle
When I did my monitor cycle (almost 2 years ago now), it was bloods on day 2/3, a scan and more bloods around day 10 (I think) and then bloods around day 21. I also did the Chicago immune tests on my day 2/3 bloods but That can be done whenever.
Re taking off work - where do you work? You can be there for bloods early (get there about 7 and you should be taken not long after 730 and round to the blood place and out by 815ish) and you might not need to take time off. For The scan they will schedule that for a random time during the day so probably need a half day off for that.
Good luck.

Hi Waterdropsdown,

Thanks for responding Smile
I work in the city near Liverpool Street so not to far.

So after monitoring once I start treatment, even the daily bloods can be taken before work? That would be great....

Yeah bloods start at 730, I found getting there at 715 meant having blood taken by 740 and then either that’s you done for morning or every other day you need a scan. By being First (or near First) for bloods means you are at the start of the queue for scan. Don’t think I was late for work anytime except one day when the tube broke (c30 mins from clinic to my office). So defo manageable whilst working.

Thanks so much waterdropsdown, that's really helpful. I didn't really want to tell work, so I should be able to do most of ten testing before work Smile

Hope it all went well for you two years ago Smile
