Me and DH have been trying for a long time, i’m currently going through blood tests and DH has a SA appointment booked for later this month...

Since then i got a BFP a few days ago, hopefully this sticks and everything goes well.

Is it worth my DH cancelling his SA appointment? Is there any benefit in doing it and finding out that would explain why its taken so long? If he did do it and got the results would they just say ‘results normal etc’ and dont find any details.

What do you ladies think? Would you still like your OH to do the SA even if you were expecting?

TIA.

I'd continue for him, and if you have anything booked let them know you're pg.

Sadly I'd be thinking worst case scenario and not wanting to have to risk starting everything from scratch if you miscarry. Fingers crossed that you won't though! It would be more precaution.

I would go ahead with it!

And congrats! We found out about our BFP in the midst of SA.

I would ask him to continue with the tests. It’s useful info in the event that this pregnancy didn’t go to plan or if you want another in future. The results should state sperm count, motility and morphology so you can find out where he is within the parameters. If it’s all good, then at least you know. Congratulations by the way.
