Hi

I am due to have one of these under a local in a few weeks to remove a very small polyp. How painful is it? How long does the process actually take? Also, I ovulate about a week after so regardless of what the doctors say, providing I'm not bleeding like a period we will ttc (sorry if tmi). But what's the worst that can actually happen? We fall into the 'unexplained' category so I'm hopeful this is the cause!

Hi zest I’ve had two of these now, one with no anaesthetic and whilst it was a little uncomfortable it was ok, you don’t actually feel a thing whist the polyp is removed it’s just getting the equipment in! That is the uncomfortable bit. In all it probably took 30mins but the actual polyp removal was a minute maybe less. Good luck I’m sure you’ll be fine

Also I was actively encouraged to ttc straight after.

Thank you for replying Karen, that is reassuring that it doesn't sound so painful. :)
