Low AMH and low follicle count after 6 days of stims

Good morning!

I’m currently undergoing my first IVF cycle after 6 failed IUI’s

I’m on long protocol been down regging since 26th September and started stims on October 20th. At my baseline scan on the 19th I had one cyst on my ovary which they did a blood test to check it wasn’t producing hormones and it wasn’t.
I’m taking 4 vials of menopur every night at 9pm and at my scan to measure my follicles the cyst was still “persisting” I had one follicle measuring 6.1 and a couple of tiny ones. The nurse said that their wasn’t really much happening at this stage and that I would need to be rescanned. We asked what would happen and she said worst case scenario that we wouldn’t get to egg Collection and our cycle would be cancelled.

Obviously we are devastated by this prospect and really unsure of what to expect next so I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences?

My AMH is below 4 and my endometrial lining was 8.6mm

My AMH isn’t low but with your AMH just under 4, I’d still expect a slightly better response... Perhaps the protocol isn’t optimal for you? What is your usual antral follicle count?

They didn’t tell me this time round but I had a scan back in May and had 7 antral follicles

That’s more like it. With 7 antral follicles there’s a chance for up to 7 eggs or hopefully at least 3-4... Have you spoken to the doctor about why they’re even continuing? It doesn’t sound very good at the moment. I hope some ladies with similar experience with be along soon.

I haven’t spoken to any Doctors not even been given an opportunity to speak to one. They seem to be holding their cards very close to their chest at this point.

Well I had a scan this morning.
I had 2 viable follicles so egg retrieval is on Thursday in the hope they both have eggs in them
