IVF Abroad - where to start?

Hi everyone
I have just started looking into IVF abroad options and feel totally overwhelmed by the amount of information to digest, and am struggling to know where to start.
Can anybody recommend any links to any good overviews ideally that give a simple comparison view of the pros/cons/recommended clinics by country (in Europe)? Also can anybody point me towards any UZk based organisations that offer packages / arrangements for overseas IVF? Thanks

Hi there Lizar, we are getting ready to fly out to Cyprus at the end of this month for donor egg ivf. We found our clinic through this website

www.eggdonationfriends.com/

We also got a 500€ discount on the cost by contacting our clinic through the websites enquiry page.

Hi Lizar,

I agree, it's pretty overwhelming finding the clinic! We had ivf icsi at Invicta clinic in Poland in the summer. They do an all inclusive package including the stim meds for what we felt was a good price. They comply with British and USA medical stuff, and their success rates are really positive too.

The way I narrowed it down was by countries I'd consider, then trawling the net for clinics I liked the look of and sending them a message with the same set of starter questions, and then a massive discussion with dh to figure out the best one for us, taking in to account pricing and success rates, and how we felt about them. We went to go for an initial appointment, and decided that that was the clinic for us.

Good luck!

Try using the fertility friends website. There are boards by country AND clinic. We used Gennet in Prague. Based on cost, results and tvet had a sister clinic in London. We have twins that are 2 tomorrow!

Thank you both for your replies. I think I pretty much narrowed it down to Poland or Czech, so just need to make a decision now! :/

I used Reprofit. It was absolutely fine- very clean and efficient, if a little rushed. It didn't work for us, but could happily recommend. They were cheaper than most other clinics

We went to Reprofit, following a recommendation from a friend. To be honest we didn't look into any others, as I didn't want to spend loads of time pondering. Would highly recommend. Going abroad is really quite straightforward and not as daunting as you'd think, sometimes I look back and can't believe I did it! Good luck x
