Hi all!!
New to this group. After a little advice being try to conceive for 7 years. Importantly when we where refered to infertility back then was told I was to young to be excpeted, and needed to be 30 as I was only 23 at the time. Now the magic age has come we have been refered back to infertility. Have had first appointment which was just going over the basics again and now need to book for eligible check for ccg guidelines e.g. bmi check, smoking check ect. Just wondered if anyone else can give me an idea of what else may be involved just don't want to be told no again. Thanks

Wow i cant believe they made u wait 7 years! Thats a very long time.

For nhs ivf i believe ur bmi has to be under 30. Not sure whether u hav been referred for ivf or just infertility investigations

They redid all our bloods at the hospital even though they had just been done for the gp to refer us. I had to have a rubella immunisation as I was found not to be resistant. Also had to have another ultrasound, this time internal. Good luck!

Thank you so much for both responding. Can either of you tell me what the smoking test is please?? Gave up in January but hate any type of tests Confused

The smoking test is likely to be a carbon monoxide breath test. You just blow into a tube attached to a machine and that's it.
