Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of taking coq10 supplements?

After my first failed round of ICSI, I want to change diet to help me through this.

I had one fresh and one frozen embryo transfer, and hoped this supplement could help to retrieve more eggs.

My AMH level was quite good though. So, not sure if supplements will even help.

Thanks!

There is evidence that it may improve egg quality. Amh measures the number of eggs, not the quality. Therefore I don't see how it can hurt to give them a boostSmile

Ubiquinol is the purer, stronger version though. It's reported to be more effective. I take 300mg a day, but I do have shockingly low egg reserves, so on the highest dose.

Thank you.
I suppose it's worth a try. I don't think I get much from my diet alone.
All the best x

No solid (or even firmish) evidence for it in fertility. Some tentative evidence that it may have a cardiac effect. More work needed etc etc
Having said that, it's not harmful to take, so if you want to, do.

Yeah, there's no sure way to make it work. But as long as I don't cause any damage 😩 I'll try it

It won't cause any damage unless you're mainlining industrial quantities of it (possibly not even then.)

Good luck Flowers I wish there was a way to make it work
